What Does Bitter+Plus Contain?

Yesterday I got a phone call from a member of our community, wanting to know more about Bitter+Plus and what it contains.

Well, the main ingredient in Bitter+Plus, is the worlds bitterest substance, Denatonium Benzoate.
For those of you who do not know what denatonium benzoate, it is a non toxic chemical which is extremely bitter... in fact, it is so bitter that it is used to make denatured alcohol. That means, it makes alcohol too bitter to drink.

But what about the other ingredients? Is there anything harmful?

And the answer is simple... No, there is nothing harmful in Bitter+Plus.

It's pretty much the same bittering agent that goes into millions of liters of antifreeze throught Europe, Asia and Australia.

The only difference is that we have made easy for you to add the bittering agent into antifreeze yourself.

Cool stuff!

It's Not Only About Using Bitter+Plus

I've received a few emails the past few days from people wanting to know if all the need to do is add Bitter+Plus, and their pet will be free from poisoning.

And my answer is this....

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Bitter+Plus should just be the next step that you take to help prevent your pets from being poisoned.

So what should you do?

Well, the first step is to make sure that you don't leave antifreeze lying around the home. Tidy up after use... put it away in a locked cupboard....

There's many steps before adding Bitter+Plus.

Let's just say, that Bitter+Plus should be thought of like the last line of defence.

Prepare Your Pet For The Winter

Here's a good article by Wayne Cunningham on preparing your pet for the winter.

Read It Here

The point that stands out is being careful when you winterize your car. I know that certain things can slip your mind at times, but for the sake of your pets, be extra careful and pay close attention during this time.

Anyway, a bittering agent can help reduce the chances of your pet licking something they shouldn't... But it takes more than a bittering agent. Be aware, and pay attention when winterizing your car and home.

This is a dangerous time for all...

6 Dogs Poisoned In New Jersey

IT's sad to see that some people, intentionally go out of their way to hurt, injure and sometimes, kill dogs.

This story is a sad tale of a person who laced beef with antifreeze and gave it to dogs to eat.

The owners came back home to find 3 dogs were very sick and the other 3 were fatal.

If you still think that antifreeze isn;t that dangerous, then read this article;

Winter Can Be A Dangerous Time For Your Children and Pets

With winter approaching, here are a few tips to help you stay out of trouble.

Tips to Prevent Poisonings
o Buy products with child-resistant caps. But beware child-resistant caps are not
CHILDPROOF. Once your child learns how to open them, these caps will not keep
your child safe.
o Always tightly close caps after each use.
o Keep medicine and cleaners out of sight in cabinets with child-resistant latches.
o Be careful when using medicines and cleaners. If the phone or doorbell rings, close the
cap before you answer it. Children can eat poisons in seconds.
o Do not put poison in empty food bottles - someone might eat it!
o Clean up after working around the house, car and garden. Properly dispose of leftover
cleaners, sprays, and kerosene right away.
o Old medicines often stop working, but they can still poison children. Throw out expired
medications. Your local pharmacist can help you with this task.
o Buy products that have a bittering agent. Poisons with a bittering agent will taste so bad
that children often stop eating them.

Bitter+Plus Testimonial

Here's a testimonial I received from Mr. Allan Morris, in IL, USA. I sent him a sample of Bitter+Plus a few weeks ago to try on his farm.

Anyway, if you would like a sample of Bitter+plus, please email and I'll see what I can do.

"Hi Roger,

I just wanted to write and thank you for a wonderful product. It is very easy to use and I feel confident that it will deter my pets from licking up dangerous antifreeze.

Thanks again,

Allan Morris"
